Natural Stone Masonry Ltd is a Cork-based specialist stone masonry contractor working across residential, housing development and civil engineering projects.
The company is led by master stonemason Allan Henning, who has over 23 years of experience in the trade. We specialise in traditional mortared and dry stone masonry, including house facades, entrances and pillars, boundary and retaining walls, and complete stonework packages for housing developments.
Our civil engineering experience includes stone facing and reinstatement on the M28 Ringaskiddy motorway scheme, the Celtic Interconnector and Water Rock, Midleton.
We work with homeowners, builders, developers and main contractors throughout Cork, Munster and nationwide, with the capacity to scale our team to suit the size of the contract.

Most people have never commissioned stonework before and aren't sure what to expect, or what it should cost. Here is how a typical project runs.
We come out, look at the site and talk through what you have in mind. Free, and no obligation. Bring photos of walls you like — it is the fastest way to agree a look.
You get a written quote covering the stonework, the finish and the timeframe, so you know what is included before anything starts.
We advise on stone selection and matching, and agree the pattern and the joints on a sample panel before we build the rest. Nothing is a surprise at the end.
Our own crew builds the work, keeps the site tidy and leaves it clean. We walk the finished job with you before we go.

The large-scale civil engineering work we're delivering now, and what we've completed.
We're currently on site at Water Rock, Midleton, delivering the natural stone package for the upgrade of Water Rock Road — part of the Water Rock LIHAF Initiative for Cork County Council, designed by AtkinsRéalis and funded under Project Ireland 2040. Working with McGinty & O'Shea Ltd, the scope covers stone-faced retaining and boundary walls up to 1.8m high with castellated coping, and reclaiming existing roadside stone for re-use.

We delivered the natural stone package for the M28 Motorway scheme in Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork, working with Sorensen Civil Engineering — a major civil engineering project built to infrastructure standards. This large-scale contract showcases our capability to build high-quality stonework to specification on some of Ireland's most significant construction projects.

Both work. On civil engineering and housing schemes we normally work fix-only, with the main contractor supplying the stone to the site. On private jobs we can advise on selection, matching and sourcing, and price the work either way.
We are based in Cork and work throughout Cork city and county and the wider Munster region. For larger contracts we travel nationwide.

It depends on the size, the stone and the finish. We give a timeframe with the written quote after the site visit, so you know the programme before we begin.
